Far Away Belted Kingfisher: ISO 800, 300mm, f/4.0, 1/250
I took this shot last week.
I have not been able to get close to a Kingfisher since I started taking bird photos. So far, this has been the closest I have been able to get.
The morning this was taken, I had spotted 3 of them on the island at the bottom of the Dam at Lock 1 of the Trent Severn Waterway. She sat there for a while, so I was able to get some clear shots of her.
I will keep trying!
